In proportion to our population Greece is at the top of the scale concerning car accidents in Europe<\/p>\n

You can help lower these Numbers by taking part!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a group as a class\u00a0 or alone \u00a0at the 5th International Students Multimedia Competition organized by the Region of Crete<\/a><\/strong>, Municipality of Chania<\/strong>, the municipality of Platanias <\/strong>and Kissamos<\/a><\/strong>, the municipality of\u00a0 Kandanos-Selinou<\/strong><\/a>, the municipality of Sfakia<\/strong><\/a> and the municipality of Apokoronas<\/strong><\/a>, the Business\u00a0 Chamber of Chania <\/strong>, the Bus co. Of Chania-Rethymnon<\/strong>, the Chania Public Buses<\/strong><\/a>, the Association of truck owners<\/strong>, the Association of Taxi owners of Chania<\/strong><\/a>, the E.O.V.E Chania<\/strong> and National Association of Relief and Solidarity for the Victims of Traffic Accidents in the Region of Crete “Saint Christophoros”<\/strong>. This will allow you to pass the message of road safety to the world.<\/p>\n

The final selection will result in 15 winners, 3 for each category of the competition.<\/p>\n

Greece ranks first for car crashes<\/span><\/h1>
<\/div>[vc_column_text]Greece ranks first for road accidents out of \u00a027 countries of the European Union.Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, Western Macedonia, the Peloponnese and Central Greece are among the most deadly regions of the European Union. These areas, according to a European surveys, are considered dangerous on the basis of the people who are potentially killed each year per million vehicles traveling on their roads.<\/p>\n

According to figures, Eighth place in the European Union is held by Epirus, the ninth place in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the tenth in Western Macedonia. Europe’s first dangerous region is considered to be Central Greece, with 1,576 deaths per million vehicles, and second place is the Peloponnese, where 1,159 people are lost per million vehicles.<\/p>\n

Speed \u200b\u200band alcohol are the main causes of road accidents. Essentially speed is the main cause. But alcohol, along with speed or other dangerous activities, such as talking on the cell phone or loud music, add to the situation. Alcohol may not be the main cause of the dangers of road traffic accidents, but the overwhelming majority of alcohol-related traffickers are fatal and the most bloody.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

Awards \u2013 Praises<\/span><\/h1>
<\/div>[vc_column_text]The fifteen Winners selected by the Judges will be awarded at a special ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Friday, March 20, 2020.<\/p>\n

The final selection will result in 15 winners, three winners for each category of the competition. The categories of participants in the contest will be:<\/p>\n
